Dave Ellett Chief Executive Officer

Dave Ellett currently serves as chief executive officer for RemitDATA. He is responsible for the vision, strategy and day-to-day operations of the company.

Ellett has held senior positions in several Internet-focused businesses. He most recently served as president and general manager of Belo Interactive Media, the digital business arm of both Belo Corp. and A.H. Belo. Prior to Belo, Ellett served as chief executive officer and chairman of Powered, an industry leader in building social media websites for major brands and publishers. Before joining Powered, Ellett served as chief executive officer at Docent Inc., a leader in enterprise e-learning and business performance management, taking the company from the "A" round of funding through a successful IPO.

Ellett has held several other senior management positions with early stage online ventures. Prior to his work with smaller, stand-alone Internet companies, he held positions with Oracle and EDS. He was corporate vice president of worldwide education for Oracle and spent 13 years with EDS in a number of key management roles, including president of the performance services group. In addition, Ellett serves as treasurer on the Board of Trustees of KIPP Dallas Fort-Worth and chairs the school’s Strategy and Growth Committee.

Ellett holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is married and has three daughters.

Bently Goodwin Founder

Bently Goodwin founded RemitDATA Inc. in the spring of 2000. He has been in the healthcare industry since 1988, playing major organizational roles in finance, management information systems and third-party reimbursement. He structured and engineered processes geared toward maximizing employee utilization and ‘mining’ of key data elements to effectively manage reimbursement and operations.

Goodwin started his career with the international accounting firm Ernst & Young. After several years, he entered healthcare with a regional full-service homecare provider with responsibilities over drug distribution, home medical equipment, home health and nurse staffing. He was responsible for oversight of finance, MIS and reimbursement for business segments growing at an average annual rate of more than 60 percent. He consulted for a Fortune 500 company in their healthcare division, re-engineering both reimbursement and operations to achieve effective data collection and increased cash collections. He also has worked in a financial capacity for a regional temporary staffing firm as well as for Promus Hotels (now part of Hilton Hotels).

Goodwin is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree from Mississippi State University. He and his wife, Dana, have two young boys and live in Memphis, Tennessee.

Jim Brady Chairman

Jim Brady is the chairman of the board and is an operating partner with Marlin Equity Partners focused on investment opportunities in the healthcare sector. Brady's primary responsibilities include conducting due diligence and providing operational support and oversight to Marlin portfolio companies.



Brady has more than 20 years of experience as an operator in the healthcare IT and services sectors. Brady joined Marlin from JBR Advisors, LLC, a management advisory firm. Prior to JBR, Brady was founder and CEO of Payerpath, a web-based claims management system for healthcare providers and payers. In 2006, Payerpath was sold to Misys Healthcare Systems, one of the top five healthcare IT companies in North America. After the sale of Payerpath, Brady served as president of Payerpath, a Misys Company, and served on the board of Misys Healthcare Systems as well as on the operating board of its parent company, UK-based Misys plc.



Before founding Payerpath, Brady held various leadership positions in the healthcare technology sector, including vice president of sales for the healthcare division of National Data Corporation (NDC Health), and senior vice president of Health Communication Services (HCS), a firm acquired by NDC. While at HCS, Brady helped grow the company to one of the nation’s largest suppliers of healthcare electronic data interchange (EDI) services to hospitals, physicians and insurance companies. He also served as district manager for Automatic Data Processing (ADP). Brady earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Richmond.

Michael L. Sanderson President/Director

Michael Sanderson brings a wealth of healthcare experience and success in ensuring the ongoing growth of RemitDATA. He leads the company in managing and expanding the current client base, in addition to developing new markets and partners.
 
Before joining RemitDATA, Sanderson was executive vice president and chief sales and marketing officer for ChartONE, which recently sold to Healthport, one of the top 25 largest healthcare IT companies.

Sanderson and three other executives were the drivers for the successful spin-off of ChartONE from Quadramed, which formed an $80 million, privately held company that focuses on the management of medical records. Prior to his work at ChartONE, Sanderson served as executive vice president and officer of QuadraMed - a then $300 million plus, publicly traded healthcare information services company.

Sanderson has held a variety of other sales and marketing positions for healthcare vanguards such as Baxter Hospital Supply (now part of Cardinal Health), Steris Corporation (AMSCO) and National Data Corporation (NDC Health), now owned by Per-Se Technologies/McKesson Corporation.

Sanderson has served on several boards in the past, including director for Mediconnect Global, a leading medical record retrieval company, and currently serves as a trustee for Christianworks for Children, an adoption agency in Dallas.

Sanderson received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. He currently resides in Dallas with his wife and two young boys.

Allen Moseley Director

Allen Moseley joined NMP in 1998 and leads the firm’s healthcare practice focused primarily in healthcare services, healthcare information technology and medical devices. He currently represents NMP on the boards of Bloodhound, Diabetes Care Group, Navitas Lease Finance, RemitDATA, Renal CarePartners, Senior Whole Health, U.S. Radiosurgery and Valor Healthcare. Moseley also oversees the Firm’s investment in Direct Insurance and Lanx.

Prior to joining NMP in 1998, Moseley was in the corporate finance group at The Robinson-Humphrey Company, an investment banking firm previously owned by Citigroup and most recently acquired by SunTrust. Moseley worked extensively in the healthcare and business services industries, advising on a number of initial public offerings, M&A transactions and private placements. He was also involved in R-H Capital Partners, the private equity investment arm of the firm. Previously, Moseley held investment banking positions with Bowles Hollowell Conner & Company and Merrill Lynch & Co.

Moseley was recently chairman of Venture Atlanta and chairman of the Technology Association of Georgia, the State’s largest entrepreneur-focused organization. He has also served on the board of North Carolina’s Council for Entrepreneurial Development, one of the largest entrepreneur organizations in the country. Moseley is also a member of the Nashville Healthcare Council. Moseley received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.

Casey West Director

Casey West has ten years of experience in entrepreneurial finance. His focus is on healthcare services, healthcare information technology and technology-enabled services companies.

Prior to joining SSM Partners in 2004, West spent several years with Petra Capital Partners, a Nashville-based mezzanine firm focused exclusively on late-stage healthcare and business services investments. During his time there, he participated in twelve growth capital investments. West began his career in the New York-based healthcare investment banking group of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation.

West received a Bachelor of Arts with honors in history from the Virginia Military Institute and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. He is the co-founder and past president of the Tomorrow Fund, a non-profit organization which provides training for young professionals interested in community outreach and is a member of the Nashville Healthcare Council.
